Although professional Australian bowler Justin Bettes is blind, he’s in South Korea, close to winning the world championships for the visually impaired. Currently, Justin is second place for blind tenpin bowling, and his enthusiasm as inspiring others with low vision to get in the game. We’re all wondering, how does he do it?
Although he can’t see the ball, Justin is still able to achieve an astounding victory time and time again. He relies on a guide rail, and a “spotter”, who assist the bowlers in aiming for pins. After memorizing the positions of the pins and adjusting their technique, these players are able to make magic happen.
