The Foundation of Laguna Woods Village presented a check to the Vision Club to use toward the purchase of a text enlarging reader, Merlin LCD.

The reader will help people with low vision by magnifying books, magazines, and other print or writing placed on the computer-sized desktop magnifier.

The donation of the reader came about by a donor’s specific request to the Foundation. Tom Sullivan, famous American performer, author, and motivational speaker presented his one-man show, “Adventures in Darkness”, at the Laguna Woods Village auditorium in February of this year. The show benefited the Foundation, and Mr. Sullivan, who is blind himself, requested that the donations generated from the event be used toward helping the vision impaired….
